Kate Lanphear
I can end my post right there and you’d understand. However if for no other reason than to fill this space I’ll carry on.
Kate Lanphear is my girl crush (yes I realize I share this crush with many others out there).
For starters I’m obsessed with her hair and often take her picture in to my stylist…..I go the jet black route but the cut is an homage to her.
Her style - No one does androgyny with such simplicity, or make simple black look so complex. From her vintage tees to her designer menswear inspired looks. Here’s some looks to throw up on your inspiration boards. See I’m not possessive….

The Sartorialist
The Secret Location once again brought fashion to the forefront by having Scott Schuman of the Sartorialist visit for a book signing. Scott’s new book, Closer, is a 500 page collection of page after page of inspiring streetstyle.
The fashion saavy lined up well before the doors opened (including me).
Scott was seated behind a desk with an empty chair situated beside him so fans could take the time to sit down, have a quick chat, pose for pictures and get their very own copy of the book or print signed.
I walked up and reached forward to shake the legends hand. He immediately complimented my Moxham necklace. He even asked if it was heavy and weighed it in his hand. He joked about not wearing it on a flight, and then continued to tell me about a friend of his who wears so much jewelry that when she goes on a flight she removes it all and airport security have a hard time believing it’s her in the passport picture. He signed my book, posed for a picture and I was on my way. Smiling, Happy and Satisfied...

The Man Repeller
The Secret Location in Vancouver hosted a night with Leandra Medine from the Man Repeller on November 14, 2012. Leandra was lovely while graciously talking to her fans and smiling for pictures.
Vancouver’s fashion family sipped on wine, while perusing the shelves of vintage Chanel and eclectic shoes and jewelry. Including one of my favorite labels United Nude. Thank you Secret Location for a memorable night, keep em coming!

Rachel Roy was recently at the Bay downtown for a meet and greet. She was STUNNING ….and even had the personality to boot … lethal combination.
Let me gush a little here, after Rachel left she instagram’d a shot of the night….yep that’s me…..she even commented ‘u have a wonderful sense of style and spirit!’…….it pretty much made my year!
